    So I bought Crysis Warhead.

I put the DVD in the drive, and nothing happens. The DVD drive says it's empty. Other DVDs work. In fact, all my other DVDs and CDs work, even the Crysis Wars DVD that comes with Crysis Warhead.

I've heard something about SecuROM, but I'm still lost after hours of googling.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks!

    Cheers

I would take it back for an exchange, most stores will. It does not make much sense due to the fact all your other c/d's & dvd's work other than a bad disc.

So it can't be the securom issue? I've read about other people having a securom issue...

I believe if it were, his drive would at least see it. ;)
I could be mistaken though, never had a problem with securom myself, thought of it more of an limited install program so to speak.

    Sorry man

You can't even access the disk???
That probably means the disk is defective, as mentioned above.
You could take it to them and explain everything, and maybe even your laptop for proof (if possible)

Just finished crysis 2 days back, and playing Far cry 2 after which I will play warhead

If you have any other PC's, test it in that. Some drives are incompatible with some certain disks.

as suggested and if possible take it back to the store with your laptop and ask them to test it. if it doesnt play in front of them then they have to replace it so just ask for a replacement disk and they can keep the new manual to send back to their supplier.

they cant re-sell a disk that doesnt work, so they cant ask for the manual.

Isn't Crysis Warhead part of Steam now?

I'm not sure if this would work, but download Crysis Warhead off of Steam and use your retail cd key to activate it.

That might work but it sounds risky to me
    [never used steam]

    @OP
your best bet is to take it to the store and explain that it doesn't work [laptop provides excellent proof] and tell them what happened to the manual
