I just bought Ut3 in steam today. When entering the game i get the intro videos (Epic games,Intel,Nvidia.etc) Then it goes to the screen Enter Cd-Key. I have the CD-key info but there's a problem. It dosent let me type anything!!!! I know its not my keyboard because i pressed F10 and the console popped up and i could type. But typing anything in the CD- key boxes its a no go! Also when trying to click on accept or Exit game on the bottom right corner it dosent do anything. Only way i can exit is by pressing escape.

    Vista 64 bit
    P8400
    4 gb ram

    Maybe your computer is overheating
    1. For steam games you usually activate before playing. On the bottom it says activate a product.
    2. Overheating, use hwmonitor to monitor your temps.
    3. Try running it in xp sp2 mode.
    4. Add -novid to the target. Right click properties target add -novid or for steam right click on the game under the list, hit properties and click set launch options and add -novid. This should skip intro. Or if novid doesnt skip intro it might be -nointro.

GOOD LUCK POST BACK YOUR RESULTS

    Thanks for the reply!

I tried every single thing and still nothing  . Its deff not a overheat issue since i just tried out fallout 3 with max settings without a hitch. It has to be something with in the game its self. I tried re-installing and still the same problem. Heres a pic of where im stuck...

The screen isnt frozen the background moves and the background still plays its music. But i just cant type anything! Also the mouse still works because when i hover over Accept or exit game it highlights it.

Have you tried typing the key and validating too ignoring the fact that nothing appears on the screen?
