Help with CSS!!!

hey i recieved my Dell XPS M1530 yesterday and installed Counter Strike Source on it and it worked fine for a few hours but then it started to close. Firstly when im in a server it lags and says Warning: Connection Problem and then it closes and a box appears saying "Hl2.exe is not working properly so the program needs to close." Can anyone help me please! Its my fav game and if it doesnt work i thought if its maybe windows vista or something. Oh btw this server disconnection also happens with COD4 but i dont get the message.

The connection problem is related to your network, maybe wifi card is not updated properly with new drivers or you have a poor signal


The crash is a different thing, and I can tell you already its not vista since it runs fine for me. I think it could be a driver related issue as well, perhaps try updating your sound and graphics drivers?

 

how do i update the drives and sounds?

 

i get the hl2.exe crash thing very often, it may do it during gameplay but that is RARE. however i noticed about 75% of the time when im done playing and i close the game, it says hl2.exe has to shut down or is not responding. i dont understand why it does this but i haven't really thought much of it since it rarely affects my gaming.

 

you can get sound drivers from realtek (assuming you have realtek high definition audio)

you can get video drivers from laptopvideo2go.com

you can get wireless drivers from intel (assuming you have an intel wireless card)

you can also get any of these drivers from your manufacturer. I would recommend installing a few different ones from each category (sound, video, wireless) to see which one performs best for your needs.
