Recently I've been playing around with some modded drivers for the Intel 4500 integrated graphics processor to try and squeeze out any extra performance. The problem is that none of them seem to do anything for my ThinkPad x200. My Windows Experience Index score for gaming remains at 3.4 after installation and all of my games still run at the same frames per second.
I've checked my laptop's chipset just in case and it shows "Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset." Does this not equate to a GM45 graphics processor? Or am I doing something wrong with the installation process? I've uninstalled the existing drivers, but upon reboot another driver labeled "Mobile Intel 45 Express Family Chipset (Microsoft Corporation) WDDM 1.1" automatically installs driver version 8.15.10.1749 from 2009. Does installing the new modded driver over that affect anything? How can I stop that driver from automatically installing after I remove the existing one?
For reference, the driver I'm currently trying to use is from this page in the first post: Modified Intel laptop drivers for gaming! (Good FPS!) The modder claims to have his Windows Experience score jump from 3.4 to 4.1, and I've seen similar claims for another mod (RoyalBNA, I think). If anyone can help me duplicate those results, I would greatly appreciate it.

Does anyone have an idea why these drivers aren't improving my gaming performance at all?

One last try at bumping this to see if anyone has used modded drivers with a noticeable performance boost, either with the WEI score or in-game fps, and knows why they're not working for me.

best place to ask is on laptopvideo2go forum which deals with inf mods.
ive never used a mod but im guessing intergrated graphics just doesnt have the power to push framerates up even with modded drivers.
