Well for Battlefield series, you're better off renting a server. You'd need a dedicated server machine, and not sure how simple it is to set up and configure. I don't think you can put bots in any MP scenarios though that I know of.

Well a dedicated server will be the smart idea... but which battlefield do you plan on playing? if the old ones you could more then likely run the dedi server on the most powerful computer at your lan on coop since the games are a little older (we play coop on bf2 from a a dedi on Pentium d machine and it works fine).. but if your playing bc2 then your only option is to rent a server from a company which will cost you a mild amount of dough and your not going to have the option for bots

Star Wars Battlefront allows bots. Don't know about LAN though.

I know, I'm fully capable of reading.
To my knowledge, none of the Battlefield games offer what he's looking for, so I offered a similar game. -
is it battlefield 2,if so u can trick the game to add bots,if one of you starts a single player game, then the other players go on lan and highlight the game, click it once. Then the player on the single vs bots games quits that game and starts a mutiplayer game of the same map.The other players then join and u have bots. Not sure how it works but it does.
If u google it u may find it,explained better. -
We had a BC2 Lan Party and for some reason when one person logged in the other would get kicked. It had something to do with us logging in from the same router. We never got it working, good luck!

If I remember correctly Battlefield 1942 had bots ( I remember playing on some servers with both other people and bots), but I'm not sure if it works with LAN games, and it does have some compatibility issues with newer computers.
