    Hey guys...

I recently bought a T61p and the general specs are below..

    - Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 (2.2 GHz, 800 MHz FSB)
    - Windows vista
    - 15.4" WSXGA+ TFT
    - 2 GB DDR2 SDRAM, 667 MHz
    - 160 GB, Serial ATA
    - 256MB nVIDIA Quadro FX 570M

I have upgraded my video driver to 165.01 from laptopvide2go.com... for some reason I can't use 169.09 .. so i just choose the next most popular d/l driver... while everything else with my set up is the preconfigured settings...

I have spent many hours reading the forums before and after the purchasing ... and my impressions was that it could be used for most current games...

However I bought gears of war and been wanting to play it for ages but it continually crashes in the intro scenes....

Can people please offer any suggestions .... any help will be greatly appreciated ... thanks in advanced

Patch the game, update Windows Vista, defrag your HDD and then run the game again. Last I read Gears of War isn't the most stable program for all users on this forum.

Update Windows Vista by going to the control panel and looking under the windows update option. Updates help make the OS more efficient and eliminate any bugs that may be present in your factory-installed OS.

Did you patch the game? Sounds like this is the game's fault.
