I have a Toshiba L25-1192 with ATI X200M chipset. I tried installing the new catalyst drivers after uninstalling all ATI drivers and i kept getting .INF not found, then "setup standard vga drivers" error. Eventually I figured that X200M is not supported by these new catalysts so i went back to change to the old drivers, but now it would install a little bit then give me the Severe Error "try setup standard vga drivers" Every Single Time!!
I tried everything. I uninstalled everything properly and used Driver Cleaner Pro, I must've restarted 40 times trying out Safe mode VGA mode and the others, but everytime I try to setup drivers it's the same error. I have no idea how to get XP to use "standard VGA drivers" - New Hardware Found wizard never finds anything and i'm stuck in a catch-22. Someone help please!

Ignore the INF error and continue with install.
Happened to me too, but drivers have no problems. -
or do system restore

I tried all those things.. and none work. One site checked said that maybe i need motherboard drivers. Anyone knows how to get those and install them?

If you do need more motherboard drivers, you should be able to get them from Toshiba. But I don't think that would be it. I could be wrong though.

Perhaps it's time for a clean Windows install. Then you can reinstall you drivers and start fresh.

The Catalyst 6.8 doesn't support your graphic card nor does it support any integrated systems.
Sorry, Daniel -
I'm pretty convinced that the solution is getting XP to use Standard VGA Drivers instead of the VGA Save that it keeps using. Is there any way to do this?

I'm thinking that you may have to install a chipset driver. Check Toshiba's website and see if they have one available for download.

They do have the Display/Chipset Driver, and it's the exact software I'm having huge problems installing.
Help, this is driving me Crazy!
