    Hello fellow forum members,

After a fresh install of Windows and drivers I installed 3dmark03 today on my PC. After checking my SystemInfo I saw something strange: see attachment please.

I have a 128 MB X700 Mobility while Futuremark sais I have 256 MB. Is this just a bug or does Futuremark enable Hypermemory?

I would appreciate it if you guys would answer my question.

    Thanks in advance,

    Charlie :)

I have a 9800xxl with 128mb ram in my desktop. 3dmark05 says i have 256 mb local video and local texture memory. But 3dmark05 says also i have 128mb agp memory. I know this is normal, but i don't know ANYMORE why. I did knew it.

Just ignore it, your X700 came after 3dmark03 was released, often happens with newer cards on older 3dmark versions.

It could be that HyperMemory caused it to be read as 256MB. I have had that happen before with a shared memory notebook.

But the problem is that I still have 1.5 GB fully avaible. I guess it is just a bug.

It isn't a bug (maybe except the agp memory) but i don't know ANYMORE what the reason is for the 256 mb. In my desktop bios i can select also something with 256mb instead of 128. Ill think and search for it and hope to know this mystery again ;)

The thing with the BIOS is normal with intergrated cards that can be user selected to different ram settings. Not sure that's what is going on here.

the driver reports back how much ram it is capable of reserving, it wont actually use any ram untill it needs it. Also since its active after bootup, no memory should show up as missing, just in use.

Its probably Hypermemory reading that amount. T'is nothing to worry about.
