Can't wait for this. I've always been a huge fan of the Medal of Honor series since the original game on the Playstation, and Allied Assault for the PC.

I'm hesitant to see them move out of WW2, and honestly I'd be more comfortable with them trying to go with WW1 or even Korea if there is even enough context in the first place to create a good FPS involving those two conflicts (of which I would think there is). I'm also not ashamed to say that MoH:Airborne is probably my favorite WW2 FPS as far as single player goes.

It may be solid, but by then Call of Duty will have died down a bit so it's not really going to kill it anymore.

WWII is a dead horse at this point. I'm glad they're doing something different.

Hopefully , this MOH game will take over where COD4 left (dedicated servers, clan-friendly, customizable) and give a swift kick in the nads to INSANITY WARD.

My clan is out of a decent multiplayer FPS, now that MW2 MP is what it is. Sure we can play COD4 and COD5 AD NAUSEAM, but we need something new. A game that will allow for modding down the road, custom maps, all that good stuff.

So I'm putting a lot of faith in this game, especially because it made by DICE, and DICE clearly stated that they won't let down the PC gamers the way INSANITY WARD did.

Glad to hear about this. Lately I've been hating on CoD series for becoming too acrade specially after Modern Warfare, but I've always enjoyed Medal of Honor since it has been more authentic. Hopefully MoH will pay more attention to detail than Activision did with Modern Warfare.

Wow, id like if they came back :D

I used to play Allied Assault on my PC and it was a good game ;)
Now i have Airborne on my 360... and i guess its good. I dont like the Single player, i only bought it for the multiplayer part of it, which is good.

Im sure this will be good though, if they realy wanna compete with COD

IMO i think MW2 for PC is pretty much done for, not adding dedicated servers was the worst idea IW have ever done and IW are not even trying to fix the problems with IWNET with hackers, lag, idiot kids voice spamming and etc. I was so dissapointed with MW2 but at least the single player and co-ops missions was awesome. Anyways With BF: Bad company 2 coming out in march and MOH coming out also and both games will have Dedicated servers as what i heard and BF: Bad company 2 looks much better than MW2 in terms of gameplay IMO. Maybe with this much decent competition IW might add dedicated servers on MW2 just to keep up with them

Meh...MW2 isn't that bad; I've been having fun in multiplayer. And it's certainly still extremely popular on PC, regardless of the dedicated server debacle.

I like that the game industry is creating more modern warfare games. I prefere them over historical games. I have to admit though, I haven't played any historical games execept MOH: Hereos on my PSP. I'm thinkinga about giving COD1,2,3,and 5 a try.

I have been playing Cod Mw2 but with the issues that MP has i am not loyal to the games. MoH comes along and if it offers the features i want then i will be gone like a shot

I mean damn i want more Hardcore modes for a start!

I completely agree with you. I get tired of all the warfare games that suggest realism, but are nothing more than just arcade games.

Plus it will be pretty cool to have a setting in Afghanistan instead of Iraq. Some warfare in the mountains will be cool.

CoD1 and 2 are definitely worth getting. One can argue that either CoD1 or 2 is still the best as far as multiplayer in the series goes. There are alot of mods for both games, the online for both is still popular as hell, and plenty of really cool modded servers for both, especially CoD2 MP. In particular, there is an awesome modded server called IAF Custom that runs excellently made custom maps, with:

    - map voting
    - modern weapons on specific maps
    - two main weapon load out
    - non-standard weapons like mountable and deployable machine-guns/anti-tank weapons
    - Customize voice scripts including 5 pages of taunts

    It's an absolutely fantastic server.

Never played a MoH game, but I'm really looking forward to BC2 even though the minimum requirements are pretty high. Oh and BF1943 on PC :D

They're a few years too late if they're going to imitate infinity ward.

They do it more serious and tactical but still fun.

Something like ARMA II meets COD 4/MW2 with some authentic Afghanistan content, not a made up Hollywood type deal.
