I'm a die-hard Heroes III fan and one of the great features of III is the co-op site-by-side option they offered, better known as Hotseat.

I was wondering for those who bought it through Steam and gained immediately BETA access if this option was available?

    Edit:
After extensive searching, the Hotseat option will be available according to Gamespot. BETA starts off with 3 single player missions and 1 Hotseat map. Buying it now ^_^

Here's hoping they don't implement that evil DRM that so afflicted the Assassin's Creed franchise when it first launched.

yes there is hotspot for 3 players for the beta. 1v1v1 map is included

i preorder on steam and got the beta today. not 2 buggy but could use some work to smooth it out. feels like heroes 5 (which is not a very good thing)

I rather liked Heroes V, played lots of matches with family with lots of hours invested. The main drawback to V is probably the limited number of spells compared to III, still both V and III are much better than the rushed mess that IV was.

i just really dislike the movement in 5, it felt really non smooth. as in if i click somewhere on the map sometimes it would not move, and sometimes if i rigthclick to see stats it wouldnt do it.

not a big fan of ubisoft either. makes me register and install their launcher just to play a beta sigh.

It looks like the accursed DRM that Ubisoft are employing right now is going to be implemented on VI. It looks like I'll have to wait for reviews to come out before taking the plunge, with the exception of IV I've normally just bought the game without needing to read reviews but the DRM policy is a real turn-off.
