Sounds interesting, I've always been a fan of savage
-
better than Demigod?
-
its taking over dota...
this game is the exact same as dota, except better graphics. so it makes it more fun to play. it also has more heroes i believe.
its not like demigod, where its like dota, it is dota in every way. -
Argh, I missed out and it seems there's none left. If anyone has a spare key I'd love one, Cheers!
-
i have a couple to give -- just pm me your email addy.

Out of curiousity what do you guys/gals think of HoN so far?
-
It's decent but the PGR score is terrible! Take it out of the in game session and let it be seen only outside of the game, such as in channels only.
Overall, not a bad game but there are some rigged heros. Scout
I also got into the League of Legends beta, so I'm playing that right now. It's developed by a team lead by Guinsoo. -
imo, making two dotaesque games is dumb, they are trying to split the community.
-
HON is ok, but i like league of legends better
-
Anyone have a spare key for the beta ?
-
Well technically 3 if you count Demigod
But you're right, there need to be some serious Hero balancing. I wasn't a big fan of the item system at first but as I played a little more I like it more and more. I haven't checked out League of Legends yet, I'll take a look when I get home...damn you Websense! -
I just started playing this game and I think it could be so much fun. But the problem as with so many games these days...
is that there is no tutorial and there is an insane learning curve which I havent reached as yet, noob only servers still see a lot of professionals.
But yeah, this game has a lot of potential -

Thanks for the link -
Thanks for the link. Must say I'm really disappointed, first and foremost for a serious dearth in ingenuity. I gotta agree with the above poster who didn't like the item system too, but that is probably because I am so used to Dota (I did like how it said which items were used in which recipes). I also don't like how hard it is to distinguish between the creeps and the heroes, but that might improve once I become more accustomed to the game's aesthetic. The matchmaking does seem to be a vast improvement however.
I really hope Icefrog is receiving royalties for the sale of this game because most of the content is plagiarized - items cost the same and recipes are the same; the heroes, while having different names, have mostly the same skill set, everything is in the same location, the list goes on and on... It is one thing to pay homage and quite another duplicate the entire foundation of another (free) game and try to make a quick buck. Why pay for this when you can play Dota for free? I'm not sure. I don't even think it looks that much better.
I deleted Dota a couple months ago because it was too much of a time suck. I'll play this until the beta runs out and give it some more chances but I don't think I would buy it on principle alone even if were looking for a Dota alternative. -

If anyone wants a key I've been given two Beta Keys and considering the love I had shown to me by another fellow NBR poster giving me one to begin with the first two people to PM me get them
-
One left and you need to send me an email address for me to send the invite to.

In good team games he is useless. Literally all he can do is run around the map looking for possible ganks. He is useless in team fights and usually useless 1on1.
Heroes of Newerth anyone?
