    Hello guys,

Sorry for the newbie question but I'm looking at buying my first laptop after many years using desktops.

Now all i really want this laptop for is the usual internet usage but also to play World of Warcraft and maybe some older real time strat games.

    http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/-/654/86...Laptop-Notebook/Product.html?searchtype=genre

That is the one I'm looking at, all i'm wondering is with the intel graphics 'card', will that be sufficient to run World of Warcraft in any sort of playable manner taking into account the processor and RAM?

Again, I'm sorry for the daft question!

    Thanks in advance,

    Jon

The low cost laptop such as the one you listed will be able to run WoW, although not at maximum settings. Do note that WoW is a pretty old game, so it will be perfectly playable on that laptop. As the reviews on the website mention, newer games will struggle.

What exactly is your budget? Chances are you will be able to find a laptop with a better spec and build quality.

Hi, thanks for the quick response!

To be honest my budget only really extends to about £350 at this moment in time, i've tried looking around but this seems the best one to suit the amount.

Yeah , Dell is much better than Acer.

Dell lets you customize and you can even choose high resolution screen, you can get an incredible system less than a grand.

I recommend you Vostro1400 when you need a small and cheap laptop or XPS M1530 when you need a powerful laptop with 8600GT.

If you dont need discrete GPU, I 'd say try a HP business 6510b with T7300+ 2gb ram, it should be around a grand or less.

    Mine was around 840US: T7300, 2gb, Vista business, 120gb HDD, X3100.

Id go with at least a dedicated GPU to make sure wow runs 110% ..nvidia 8400 or 8600gs

Thanks for the replies guys, Zero access - Cheers for that mate, ive gone with the HP you've linked to me, hopefully it will satisfy my MMORPG and RTS needs! The user review says he plays Command and conquer 3 and BF 2142 on it so that'll keep me entertained!
