Every minute or so I hear some sort of deep click that either freezes the game or causes fps to dip severely. I just installed another HDD, could that be it (but I am not playing the game off that drive) All temps are great CPU getting around 30ºC (40ºC in game) , GPU been under 70 ºC (full load) , Hard drives around 55ºC at highest

You may need to upgrade your Graphics Card Drivers...

What is your Graphics card and OS?

9800m GTS, a little afraid up upgrading due to other issues with other drivers I have had, Dox's gives me terrible performance but good temps, nVidias had bad temps, and running Vista 64-bit

Doesn't seem like it could be the other HDD causing the problem.

Does the problem only happen in the game?

Is it just 1 game that happens? Or multiple?

You may need to play with the drivers before you find a good one. I went through 6 before I got a good one to work well.

Ahh yes...Fear 2 Demo has alot of bugs that need to be fixed.

    Icluding:
    FPS Drop due to downclocking

Hicups in FPS at radom locations

Don't get stressed out about the problem it is happening to everyone, the game will be better when the final copy is released for sure.

try downloading the dox 181.20 driver.

185.20 down clocks my gpu when i use my usual OC setting. But this driver does not. and it fixed my fear 2 downclocking issue.

Scratch that. Going back to 185.20. 181.20 still give me downclocks in Fear 2.

They gotta fix this problem asap.
