What's the highest achieved 3DMark06 score for the 8600M GT GDDR3 and 570M GDDR3 with overclocking. I am not talking about SLI systems, only single GPU setups.

I don't think so. I can get 4774 on my 8600GT DDR2@1280x800 so it should be possible to get those scores for a 8600 GT with DD3@1280x1024

I just tried in single card mode: 4912 3dmarks at 1280x800
My card is o/c but not sure how much, Rivatuner not reporting core and shader clocks correctly, but mem is 930. In sli it's close to 8k, but at 1280x800. Higher res slows these cards down considerably.
My o/c 8700mGT will pull 5k 3dmarks at 1280x1024 though. Not sure why but I can easily get higher mem clocks on the 8600's, and if I'm in an air conditioned room, I can get the mem as high as 1000, but keep it lower to be safe.

Usually 3dmark scores are measured in 1280x1024 resolution . 1280x800 skew the scale in favor of higher scores.

Yep, but I'm limited to my display's max res of 1440x900, so the free version of 3dmark defaults to 1280x800.....that's why I noted the res....and used the 8700 for comparison.

I've personally received a score of 4502 with the DDR3 version @ 575/780 (1280x1024). I'm sure it could be pushed even higher so 4800 is definitely doable. Stock w/no OC I get 3902. 169.04 drivers.

Well, a preliminary OC of the Asus F8Sv (8600GT 256MB DDR2) hit nearly 4600 at 1280x800, so the G1S and other GDDR3 8600GT notebooks can definitely hit 5k at the same res. Not sure about 1280x1024 though.

I get a score of about 3900 at 1440x900 with my MBP GDDR3 8600m GT.

    Using 169.04 Drivers.

I can't get the machine to overclock for some reason. I installed RivaTuner, but it doesn't seem to report clocks correctly. I've tried doing about 10% increase in the default values but 3DMark scores do not change. The overclock settings apply properly, but there does not seem to be an increase in actual performance.

    Any suggestions?

Right. Benchmark results are only comparable when put up against cards running at the same resolution.

The 570M in the 8510w is the GDDR3 version, correct?

Yup, to my knowledge they don't even make a ddr2 version.
