An honest and quite entertaining video review of Bioshock: click here. (some strong language, if you care)

You can find more of his stuff here and here (his review of Psychonauts is particularly entertaining).

I'm not going to click on it but let me guess, it's the guy who talks all fast without any punctuation. Yeah, it's all over the internet and it's hilarious

That's the one. This guy is brilliant - and supposedly this is going to be a weekly thing on Wednesdays. Can't wait for whatever he has next.

The text at the end attacking fanboys was hilarious.

I finished the game last night....and I was really disappointed. It gets really monotonous and I had a hard time staying interested. I think he hit the nail right on the head.

Meh..not really most are just upgrades of ones you already have or extra slots for tonics and stuff.

There are 9 plasmids (i.e., Incinerate, Freeze, Enrage, etc.) and maybe like 30 equippable "tonics" that do various stuff (increase wrench damage, make hacking easier, etc.)

I really liked the game - his criticisms were accurate (although I've never played System Shock 2 so that doesn't really apply for me), but I loved the atmosphere and the story (except the ending), and I had fun finding creative ways to kill people.

Yeah, it's amazing for the first hour or two, but they dont space out the weapons and plasmids enough, and you end up getting them all at once so the last half of the game is way boring.

Agreed. I'm a big SS fan, but instead of being put out by a 'dumbed down' version of the original game, I'm over the moon that they've brought the gameplay I loved to a much wider audience. I'm even happier that it actually appears to be selling well (Something you couldn't say about the original SS games.)

even though his review seems overtly negative... it is only that way.. because that is his "thing" i guess.

He states in the review that it is very atmospheric and probably one of the best games of the year.

The reviews are giving it near perfect scores or perfect scores.

Yea Bioshock is OK, although I think the rating and reviews that people gave it were way to high. It is a good game, but it isn't great. I haven't even finished it yet because I kind of got bored.

I am still waiting for Crysis! :)

He brings up some very good points about the flaws in the game in an overly hilarious way..

Bioshock is great, but it is shallow in it's moral implications provided by the whole little sister mechanic..
