    Hitman: Codename 47 released in 2000
    Hitman 2: Silent Assassin released in 2002
    Hitman: Contracts released in 2004
    Hitman: Blood Money released in 2006

    Hitman: Codename 47 is PC exclusive and uses a diff system. They have omitted this release from the Hitman series (sort of). Hitman Contracts was a remake of Codename 47 though there was quite a lot of changes to the mission. which is why u only had 3 of the 4.

    You can read more about it here which is taken from wikipedia;

    doesnt really have many mission that allows u to create "accidents". No/more limited weapon customization (though tis really doesnt have much diff if u always go the silent pistol or fibre wire approach). Graphic wise, of cuz it will take a hit but it is still tolerable.

    But it is still worth playing the old series, there r some stuff u cant find in the later version. For e.g. hitman codename 47 (the 1st 1) is the only series that has a jungle mission. u r dressed sort of like a rambo and go around wiping out a base. The final mission for contract or silent assassin (cant remember which 1) is the best of the 4 series when the SWAT trooper stormed ur house. IMO if u enjoyed blood money, go ahead and play all the previous version; it will still be fun.

    Blood money was my fav but silent assasin was very good aswell.
    Contracts as said was basically a upgraded version of the orginall but codeman 47 was a broken game and i dint care for it much

    also in the the ones before bloodmoney there wasent really much of a choice to run and gun which i prefer.
    and i also feel some of the levels were bigger but that might of been because i played it so long ago haha

    Blood Money is the best of the series, especially because each level allows for many options on how to accomplish your goals. It is also the shortests of all games (only 12 levels) but each of them is really well done.

    In regards to the ending... I still prefer Blood Money's finale... the first time I reached it I was like OMG.. :D
