It runs between 40-70 fps with ultra settings and 2xMSAA on my machine. The in-game benchmark is only around 35-40 fps though. With v-sync on it normally runs at 60 fps and sometimes drops down into the 40s. It's only certain areas of the game that are more demanding than others.
Beat it last night btw. I really enjoyed it. A lot of people have criticized it for feeling more like a stealth game than a Hitman game, but I liked the change in the focus. There is still plenty of strategic killing involved, there's just a larger focus on stealth.

lol, I pulled that stuff a lot in Blood Money. That's right where sadistic belongs, virtual world
Watching his score drop made me think of a new competition, how low can you go (double meaning there).

Looks like some kiddo got mixed up Hitman with CoD. Lol at that -200k score.

Ok so latest beta 8 drivers improved performance on my rig from 20 fps (2x MSAA) to 45 - 60 fps with all maxed out except for msaa. 8x MSAA gave me 38 avg fps which is 3x improvement over my previous run with beta 7 driver.
P.S. Talking about ingame benchmark. -

Slightly off-topic but have just started to play assassin creed 3 and wow just wow...my jaw has dropped.
The graphics literally blow Hitman Assassin for 6. I have never experienced the assassin creed series before but boy is this a stunner..
Surprised not more talk on here about it.. It's a classix. -

I thought Hitman looked better, tbh.
Edit: just saw your other post about how you aren't having framerate issues lol. That's really good that it's working for you. There are so many threads on the net about people hitting problems once they got to Boston. I quit playing once I got there; I average 20 fps on minimum and maximum settings -
I played Assasin too and in my honest opinion Hitman looks far better
-
Hitman looks better to me too. Even with medium settings lol.
Just looked assassin benchmark on notebookcheck, it seems as demanding as hitman. WTH with that. Even BF3 seems to run better... -

Am getting 27-60 fps on my GTX 675m. (Averaging at about 35 fps) with max settings. Aside from MSAA.
Great looking game. Amazing game overall. Although AC3 really was jaw dropping for me. Those graphics were just... wow. Shame the game sucks.
88 degrees (On Hitman) though... Running hotter than I'm comfortable with... Hope it doesn't melt my laptop... -
After finishing the game I must say this is my game of the year! I love every moment of it and it reminded me of playing a HBO mini series or something like it. The game runs smooth for me at high once I got the settings I want. Most of my played through are mainly going at it with as much stealth as possible, but at certain times in the game going in guns blazings is recommended lol.
-
I agree- a very good game. I can recognize that as I'm not enjoying it at all
- purist mode and aiming for silent assassin is a pain (and lots or replays).
Seems like it has a good replay value too- alternative routes and ways to execute missions.
On the downside- logic sucks.
Why would you gather evidence- what possibly interesting for the story can be on a bonnet of a police car or in a staff room/closet of a hotel?
How come I board a subway train with a police pistol, 56 bullets and a shotgun and disembark with a revolver and a 5 bullets?
How is it that when 47 gets to the Vixen Club (or whatever it's called) where nobody should expect him to go, there are 3 squad cars and a dozen of cops there?
Anyway- back to the game -
-
hahahahah
The game does have some corny/odd moments.
It's funny when backup reinforcements arrive in that level and it's gun ho sally...
Yeah the evidence picking up is like ??? what purpose does it hold?
but overall played the Vexxen club level last night again.. man that's a funny level... and yeah the game has excellent replay value just go in with big guns.. i am starting to think the developers got caught up as to whether to make the game stealth or purely with guns.. seems like the decided on both but stealth was the more traditional way. -
killkenny1 Too weird to live, too rare to die.

That's not the same- in Blood Money your notoriety had something to do with the fact that you've been seen, so if there was a TV crew or a security camera you could have stolen the tape afterwards. Do whatever you wanted to do and clean up the evidence when you're finished.
In Absolution there are silly pieces of evidence around that are clearly not related to 47's actions (file at the bonnet of a car in the begging of a level)- not related to the story nor to 47 himself. Simply another achievement. -
This game runs great on two 6970m's as well! Finally a optimized engine right of the bat.. AC3 and FC3 can learn a thing or two from Square Enix
-
-
I have the same CPU only with two 6970m's and 16gb ram 1333mhz. I hit 83 fps max, 44 fps average and 31 fps min.
