Homeworld/2 and Homeworld/2 HD

So homeworld/2 HD is coming out this year and i was wonder where you can buy homeworld/2? Can you buy it used and actually play it or is the stupid CD key tied up and the disc is useless? Screwed myself once buying a used game and CD was toast -_- Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me right? Also anyone know if homeworld/2 can be edited to change res if it is limited? Kinda dont want to wait

No idea, just hopefully Gog.com will pick it up. I hate when games like this get a fan based overhaul, but you can't buy the darn game any more because nobody carries it.

 

I have all three homeworld games. Original boxed copies As you probably guessed I am a fan! Homeworld 2 was good but my fav was homeworld cataclysm.

So what is Homeworld 2 HD? I am interested!! Going to go do some research......

And yes you can edit any of the games to run at 1080p.

Where do you see there is a new homeworld game? I see a mobile version possibly. I would love it if there were though for PC.

i hated homeworld 2 for some reasonb tu can't recall. I think they cut out custom battles or something or removed something that really killed it for me.

A few things RTS HAVE to have. Custom battles, adjustable difficulty and so on. A few games have that and i love them. I am very slow to start in an RTS so against a medium or especially a hard i die ussually in the beginninng before ever getting any where. With an easy it is meh so in RTS i ussually can't find a fun spot to play because it is too one sided. I dont like easy or impossible...i like a continuous challenge hence why i miss playing with friends we always had a 30-60 min build window than if anyone got a huge advantage you backed off to keep it fun.

 

Homeworld: Shipbreakers. I really hope it isn't for mobile. I wish I could uninvent the smart phone. Kills me!

Anyway seems like the game will be a prequel to the original HW. Sadly it won't be set in space. Makes sense considering the canon. It will be set on Kharak planet surface.

I have a feeling this game will be totally eclipsed by Planetary Annihilation. I would rather have a full on space RTS sequel.....
