I just recently got a copy of Homeworld 2 and after I have installed it an such I have been having troubles running it. When I launch the game it will sometimes minimize its self to the taskbar and it takes repeated attempts just to get it loaded back.
Also it will crash on a regular basis for no reason. (laptop is not overheating) When I get it working I get pretty low performance in low detail. Is there any patches or what not that can get it working properly?

At least you didn't get Homeworld: Cataclysm.

I couldn't get THAT one to work on any of three computers, and it lags horribly on my Clevo!

Never had a problem with Homeworld 2, though...

The Homeworld 2 PC 1.1 patch fixes a few issues, you should try that.

The Homeworld series apparently hates anything newer than XP, but as the others have said getting the latest patches and running compatibility mode if necessary tends to work for most people.
