So currently, I'm playing Mass Effect 2, and I'm almost done the game, so I'm wondering what game to start up next. I have started DA, but just the first 5 minutes. I'm playing it on normal, but I've heard it's a long and difficult game later on.

Currently, I'm playing Mass Effect 2 on normal, and to be honest it's pretty easy. I'm wondering if I want to dive into DA if it's going to take me forever to finish the game? I know it's a fantastic game, but at the same time, I don't want to spend so much time right now since I don't have much time until uni starts up again (in september). Currently, I only play on the weekends, so wondering if it's worth starting up?

Any ideas? Also if you know any other games that are good, but not as long, feel free to suggest them.

With all the launch DLCs, I finished mine (on normal difficulty) around 90hrs with all the side quests/main quests completed. Then I also did the origin stories, each of those took about an hour and half. Then the first expansion Awakening took me about 19hrs; the Vanguard DLC took about an hour. So you are looking at well over 100hrs of play time with Dragon Age.

It doesn't really get more difficult later on, I mean once you know how the game is played, it's not that difficult on normal. You can change your difficulty at any time, so if some level is giving you a hard time, you can change it to easy, then change it back to normal once you are done.

I've heard some people say they complete it in 30-40 hours if they just stick with the main story line. And, if you do the full thing like Tom I have heard plenty of people say 80+.

I'm not sure, I have never tried that before. I'm bit OCD when it comes to RPGs :D , I tend to explore the map/level quite thoroughly and try out all the dialogs before I move on or make a decision, that's why it took me well over 90hrs.

ditto, i'm usually the same I tend to explore every single bit of detail. Oh well, I guess at least its not like WoW, where I feel I'm actually falling behind every day I don't play.

Do you guys have a recommendation for build to go with that is relatively easy or straightforward? I've heard arcane warrior is fairly easy. Reason why I'm asking these questions is that I want to play with as few troubles as possible. Since I don't want to start all over again.

Arcane Warrior has godly amounts of Armor, and paired with Blood Mage, it's unstoppable. Blood Wound is godly, so is Crushing Prison. However, Arcane Warrior is a melee attacker first, and a caster second, so you have to keep that in mind (all the armor buffs will drain a vast amount of your MP).

cast all your big aoe spells first in no armour. then pop on the heavy armour and buff up.

i did some side quest and i finished it in about 30 hours. but i spent 140 hours in total, about 3-4 playthroughs.
