I plan on making this a list of 3dmark06 scores RUN AT DEFAULT 1280 X 1024 Res. I found that it is rather troublesome to search through all the threads for a prospective buyer to compare the notebooks they are considering. Although 3mark06 scores is not the only reason that is crucial to choosing a notebook, it is more often than not included in the set of criteria that a buyer might consider.

I will maintain this list and will update it as more people post their benchmark. I will appreciate it if only 1 benchmark per notebook is posted; ie. if you see someone else has already posted the benchmark for your notebook with the exact same spec, please don't double post.

    Here are the rules:

    1) RUN AT DEFAULT 1280 X 1024.
    2) List your notebook model, CPU, and GPU in this form "M17x (QX9300, 280m GTX SLI) -- 13,577"
    3) take the average of AT LEAST 3 benchmark
    4) If possible, run the benchmark on Windows 7
    5) DO NOT overclock your CPU or GPU. I cannot overemphasize this enough because it will be impossible to compare notebooks that are overclocked.

Let's work on making this a sticky!

there are several problems with this.
    1. 3dmark06 is not a viable way to tell what you can run nor should it be a reason to buy a laptop
    2. the default 1280x1024 does not work on many notebooks, such as mine, that run at a (laptop) standard 1200x800 res.
    3. some people like adding new hardware.
    4. there are WAY too many notebooks to tackle this in one thread.

josh, I mentioned that is ONE of the many criteria that people consider. Moreover, not running at the default resolution would make these comparisons impossible. If just one of those owners that can't run 3dmark natively on their notebook screen would take the trouble to run it on an external monitor, that would be great!

I plan on making this thread only on those notebooks worthy to be gamed on. >9600GT, >HD4570 etc2. So no Intels.

Too many people don't run vantage but if someone else want to start a thread on that to complement this, feel free to do so.

The problem is that this thread will more than likely result in someone bragging and/or starting a flame war. I'm down, though
