why not try the demo and find out >> HERE (direct link)

    Batman Arkham Asylum - Demo
    ( 2.03 GB )
Download the Batman Arkham Asylum Demo and experience how PhysX and 3D Vision enhance the gameplay experience.

and yes,the graphics are really good with Physx enabled.

If you've got the hardware, the game looks un-freaking-believable with all of the settings on and maxed out.

PhysX enabled causes Batman's cape to move in a very life-like manner.

Does PhysX require anything extra or special? Could my hardware run it? I'm curious in checking out the demo to see how it runs as I liked it on 360 but never finished it..

PhysX requires a Nvidia graphics card, series 8xxx onwards, so yeah, you can enable PhysX :D Performance will take a hit, depending on your settings.

Fantastic game, and has been given a sequel :)

Yeah the game does look really really nice, especially the part when you get to dead mans point and look at gotham from the island. Oooh the eye candy, i think that was the best part graphically in the game.

The graphics in this game are very atmospheric, detailed and really suit the whole Gotham environment. I have never seen such detailed combat moves and fluid animation. Physx adds some really nice effects and even on the normal setting it adds a lot. I am on the second play through of this game after I completed it on my laptop and I am enjoying it almost as much. In some ways I enjoy it more since I have more experience in being Batman!

With your setup, you should be able to play with PhysX on Normal, but with Ambient Occlusion disabled.

Was an awesome game. If you are a fan of the Dark Knight, or like a good game in general, I suggest picking it up.

Graphics are quite good maxed out.

There's nothing new in terms of graphics technology to this game as PhysX and the engine itself have been around for a long time, but all in all the developers did a good job of adapting the UT engine to the atmosphere and setting of the game. I would rate the graphics as 7.5 out of 10. Good, but not great or omg-just-like-Crysis.

    its totally recommended.

I play it maxed out, but with PhysX turned off, and still looks amazing.

    PhysX kills my performance completely.

I still can't believe that's Mark Hammill as the joker. What a great job he did but I cannot put together his face and that voice lol.

Hammill has been the voice actor of the Joker for well over a decade (in the animated series).

I think the graphics are phenomenal, but not in the Crysis sense of developing groundbreaking technology and graphics, but in the sense that the environment fits the game perfectly. I would give the graphics a 9/10 because I think it's more important that the game has the right look and feel versus just having the most realistic graphics.

Great game, great graphics. Uses Unreal 3 engine so it scales down really well and doesnt require a million dollar super computer to play it on high settings.

Game realy kept me playing first time through, but I have not gone back to play it since after I beat it, so I say while the game is great I do not think the replay value is all to high, at least not for me.

Its a really really good ATI eyefinity game, thats one of the main reasons I got it. You can keep your phisix enable cape I'll take my 3x FOV surround gaming :D
