Basically I want to modify my 780m vbios and bump it +100 on the core only changing nothing else (maybe the boost to match the bump if not auto).
I don't want to keep using software overclocks and it will handle this bump with no issue, especially because the 780m reference card is 823MHz and most of the ones in wild are only 771MHz.
All the vbios mods I see are either just unlocking it more or doing larger bumps or different versions of the vbios etc. I just want to make the mod and be done with it. No OC software needed and no further OC as I am PSU limited and don't care to push much more.
So anyone with any info/exp on this? Had they all been done with just hex editors? If so which areas of bios?
I know one doing this can bork the card but I am far from a novice and just wanted to see if anyone else had done similar yet.

Why not just get svet's tool?

Alternatively the KeplerBIOSTweaker supports 780M from V1.26 but the options are a lot more esoteric.
Word of caution on svet's tool: do not use it to further modify svl7's unlocked vBIOS. I bricked my cards once doing that (though you might get lucky.. but just don't risk it). -
Just PM svl7 or put the request in at TechInferno, I'm sure he'll do it for you, and can't hurt to throw a few bucks donation his way too.
Personally I wouldn't risk it and worth the cost of a beer than to risk a brick.
I edited my GT 8600m GT a while back and bricked the system. Luckily I found a blind way to bring it back, but it wouldn't be too fun with an $800 780m if you couldn't revive it. -

Oh how I miss the way the old ones without boost worked for bios modding.
So I am trying the Kepler Bios Tweaker 1.26
I can figure most of it out but not sure what some of the abbreviations mean and searching = fail lol.
I just want to bump clock/shader and boost (so the base bump reflects to the boost also).
No guide seems to really exists for this thing lol.
Anyone know what L2C and SYS stand for on the Boost States tab? Also on the Clock State tab no idea what some of those are. I can tell a few are related to the memory speed, which I don't want to change.
One thing I have noticed with some of the bios mods people have done is they don't properly adjust all the clocks. It seems they randomly do partially some or the other. I can mess with this enough to get mine to appear correct but I know some of these other values exist for a reason and should be adjusted properly too :/
The funny thing is everyone who does mods seems to mess with the values in different areas. svl7 does his one way svet another, and in fact svl7 doesn't even like how svet's tool does his. -

Svet's tool can turn turbo off and let you modify the non turbo clocks/voltages.
It works for many cards and is constantly updated while not being expensive.
Amazing value for money.
How are the 780M vbios mods made? Just hex editing?
