    How can I force a refresh rate on my S-Video out? Locked at 20hz??

    Hi,

    Im trying to hook my laptop up so that I can watch I-Tunes on my TV however the refresh rate sucks, my TV can easily reach up to 70HZ.

    However for some reason its being locked at 25HZ on the nvidia control and I cant unlock it, Ive tried changing the display as a TV with 60hz available but still doesnt show 60hz available only 25HZ :(

    Can someone help?

    How many pins does the S-Video port on your laptop have? Chances are it has 5 pins, instead of 7, which means it's only capable of PAL/NTSC output, which is limited to 20/25Hz.

    Ah it does have 5 pins, but thats the same as my sky box and dvd player and it doesnt hurt my eyes when watching it?

    Also it doesnt have ghosted images when fast moving images are on the screen? :confused:
