I have bought the C&C Ultimate Collection and Red Alert 3 is one game of them. When I try to run it I found that the "ra3.exe" in the game folder is just a launcher and the main game program file name is "ra3_1.12.game" so it just run by Intel HD Graphics. I try to set the preferred graphics processor is High-performance NVIDIA processor in NVIDIA Control Panel but it doesn't work, and I also can't add a file which is not ".exe" in program settings to select the preferred graphics processor...
So plz help me, it really bothers me so long...
thx

Rename ra3_1.12.game to ra3_1.12.exe
What version of the game is it, Steam? Origin? DVD?
It must be .exe though somewhere. Although it should run fine on the IGP considering it's nearly a 5 year old game.
edit:I just downloaded the RA3 demo and there is an RA3Demo.exe.
In nVidia Control panel you can also select to add the entire folder, so anything accessed in that folder uses the dedicated GPU.

I have tried all ways I can find but no one of them worked...
really sad -
thx for ur help
The game is on Origin, and I have changed the file name but the game would go wrong. Adding current folder doesn't work either...
Although the game is 5 yrs ago, HD4000 just can run it on low graphics and even the resolution can't be the best 1366*768.
And I find the game file name is different from the original RA3(whatever edition) which has a RA3.exe in the folder, it means the problem just exists in the C&C Ultimate Collection.
How can I run the file which is not ".exe" through my NVIDIA GT540M?
