My alienware m14x r2 laptop has an intel i5 processor and 1gb dedicated memory for its GeForce GT 650m. I was wondering how to squeeze a little extra gaming performance out of this pc?

msi afterburner :) also there are numerous threads on our forum how to OC gt 650m, give it a go

btw unless you wanna play BF3, overclocking your cpu won't do much, but overclocking your gpu can help you with some performance

If you're gonna overclock an Nvidia GPU, use Nvidia Inspector. It's got nearly no limit to how far it'll let you OC. ;)

Everything from 10% - 25% depending on the GPU, your luck and what the machine can handle ;) more is possible though

make sure you OC slowly, never ever ever increase the bar by say 100mhz all of a sudden (recipe to burn your gpu), I always increase the core clock by 20 at a time (even this is too much) and try playing a game that stresses the gpu for about 5-10 minutes. personally speaking, I never game long periods of time with an OC.. I like to keep my hardware as healthy as possible, a ton of people in this forum claims OC is healthy, but it is not in the longrun..
