isnt that a desktop system at best i would think this belongs in the off topic forum
have you run it a couple of times to see if you get the same score or near to it again?
i heard that some times you can run it without changing anything and get different scores -
They disabled PhysX on their NVidia GPU, you didn't.

The same QX9770 CPU was used for all tests, only difference being PhysX.
It's basically bull **** because PhysX does not accelerate your gaming, CPU, or GPU performance by 300%.
You might get better responses over at Desktopreview in the future. -
i hear crickets chirping when i go there. i figured someone might know quickly here.

As another poster said, it has to do with enabling physx.
With phisX on, my i7 gets over 50K in the CPU portion of Vantage, and it's running almost 1Ghz slower than the one in your link. -
If you post here for desktop related questions, you'll get answers, but they might not as be as accurate as if you would've waited for someone to reply on desktopreview.com -
People definitely reply over there, but it's mostly me, angelicvoices, Sprint, K-Tron, Fittersman, and Iceman that do all the actual replying.

yeah something is fishy with your situation though. -
Just because there aren't a lot of new posts does not mean it's a graveyard.
There are 6 or 7 people that regularly use it and answer questions promptly, it's just that people think nobody does so they don't post. Recurring cycle. -

Im always there just I dont have the time for in depth reply all the time. The more people carry the attitude that its a graveyard the harder it will ever be for it to pick up.
Though it has already come a long way from when it opened. -

when exactly did desktopreviews open?
-
It's probably the PhysX.
Right now, nVidia is at a major disadvantage with PhysX to be honest. More game developers are using Havok physics over PhysX and a lot of features in current and older games that utilized PhysX in someway have either been updated with the Havok physics API, or have been dropped completely. The number of PhysX only servers in UT3 have dwindled to almost none (there is still one server that I see from time to time that is PhysX only). And now with ATi giving nVidia some real competition for a change, it's going to be harder for nVidia to monopolize game developers and push PhysX.
Basically PhysX offers nothing substantial or revolutionary in terms of gameplay. What will really determine the fate of PhysX is how many upcoming games will support the API and integrate it into its gameplay (as opposed for just decoration) and how many of those games would be worth buying. -
I'd also post alot more in desktopreview, but it takes people to start posting to get a decent sized community of people talking. If everyone keeps saying it's a graveyard over there and doesn't even bother to post, then it always will be, if people just go over there and start making some topics mabe more people will come over to it as well. I'm sure this forum started with hardly anyone several years ago as well.
How come my 8400 is faster than the i7 extreme?
