    Wondering how the 9x00 series cards compare to the newer X series,
    X300, X600, and X700 mobility cards? Also, does the X200M get
    similar performance to these cards? I know it's integrated, but hear it's
    o.k.

    I'm asking since I see an occasional laptop with these older video cards at good prices. Wondering if they are a good buy or if the X200M and other newer generation graphics solutions as good.

    x700 = 9800
    x600 = 9700
    x300 = 9600

    The x200 would probably be equivalent to a 9550, or a 9200 Pro.

    The X200M is about 2/3 as powerful as the X300.

    I agree with flanken on the comparisons.

    Cool, thanks for the feedback.

    On a different note, I've been reading some interesting things about the Xpress 200M. Does adding high speed memory make this a faster video card? Is any performance bump just not worth the higher performance memory parts?
