Does anyone know how to edit COD4 video settings so that I can input custom resolutions?

But basically, I read this post here:

    http://forum.notebookreview.com/showpost.php?p=4157360&postcount=17

and I want to be able to play WITH black borders all the way around the screen on my laptop to compare fps speeds.

I have a 1600x900 native screen that tortures my fps when playing COD4...the next highest setting is 1280x768 or something like that.

I'd preferably like to maintain a 16:9 resolution, but COD4 doesn't give me any options between those two sizes.

If you have an nvidia card you could go into the control panel and click on use nvidia scaling with fixed ratio. If that doesn't work go to your profile folder and find config_mp and look for seta r_mode "1440x900" and change it to that you like it to be. Also you can try to go ingame and bring up the console and type in /r_mode "1440x900".
