When I reinstalled Vista about 2 months ago, Windows Update found a new driver for my GeForce Go 7400. Now after reformatting and reinstalling Vista, Windows Update does not find any new driver for my video card.
How do I force Windows update to download and install new driver for my video card? The one that I can manually download from Sony website is version 156.65 while the one from Windows Update was 167.43.
Yes I am aware of laptopvideo2go.com but I can not use any of their drivers since my WinDVD Blu-Ray player refuses to run everytime I install drivers from their site. I have tried about 2 dozens drivers. WinDVD Blu-Ray will not work unless the video card driver is 100% official and digitally signed.

Try the 169.32, they are digitally signed.

Are you sure it's the driver? I don't think the 7400 is HDCP capable and thus, shouldn't be able to play blu-ray or HD DVD discs. Did you computer come with the drive originally or did you add it in later? What model is it?

HDCP content protection only matters if you use an external monitor. My 7400 is not officially supported but my system is capable of playing Blu-Ray disc albeit with higher CPU utilization. It plays Blu-Ray if I use official driver but as soon as I use the hacked driver from LV2G, the Blu-Ray part stops working.
I added the drive later. I have Sony SZ381P. GeForce Go 7400 with Core 2 Duo 2.33GHz, 3GB RAM.
How do I force Windows update to download Nvidia Driver?
