How can I make my 8600gt play games at the resolution of the upcoming 8800gtx? Is this possible? I am embarrassed that I only get 4300 3dmark0 points...the 8800gtx seems to get over 10000? WTF? :)

Just as an FYI/follow up here:

You cannot mod a card with any kind of software or hardware that would beef up the performance, and especially no way to do what is being asked here.

The 8600GT is one heck of a card and you are not giving it much credit. You'll be able to play all your games, just maybe not at super-high-extreme settings.

But yeah, like Chaz said...thread closed.
