    You cannot upgrade your GPU.

You can't. 99% of laptops can't upgrade their video cards (and none of the integrated) and the T60 ain't one of them. Even inside the 1% there often isn't a better card available.

Because laptops are not made to be easily upgraded... Yup, the XG-station will work. It connects through the express-slot, so any new laptop is golden. You'll need an external screen though. And it'll cost like $400, so it'll probably cheaper to cancel your order, or if that's not possible, return it and order a new one.

It's not unfair. What you must understand is that the heat generated by mobile graphics parts requires notebooks to be designed around them with those thermal properties in mind. Beyond that, some notebooks can't handle the power requirements of some mobile parts which have substantial draw. Desktops don't have to worry about power draw or overheating anywhere near as much as notebooks do.

    There's a very good reason why you'll never see a GeForce Go 7900 in a 12.1" notebook.

The XG won't work with the screen on your laptop. It will only work with an extra monitor that you hook up to it.

You need to do research before you buy a laptop or computer to find one you want. Like the one I ordered is a 14" screen and comes with a
x1700. The reason I got that laptop is the x1700.

The XG-station outputs to a external monitor. That means that you can't use the screen of you laptop for gaming.

Only MXM laptops can be upgraded of laptops and notebooks with more then one dedicated card option can be upgraded and the XG station isn't something that will change the way people buy their notebook. Maybe the ATI Lasso will do something different but thats the future and we want now.

the problem is the Northbridges with intel GMA never have any x16 connector. The problem is they only have a x1 PCI-E connector. :(
