I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 with the Intel X3100 integrated graphics adapter. It's running a T3200 with 4GB DDR2-800 RAM, so the hardware is pretty well maxed out. I play WoW on this system fairly regularly and get around 12-16fps with all of the the settings on low. I was running Windows 7, and switched to XP x64 because XP is supposedly better... but I didn't really notice a change at all. Is there anything else I can do to make my performance better? I'm not expecting a miracle here, but if anything can be done, I'm willing to give it a shot.

Can try overclocking, though the bottleneck is the X3100.

The "miracle" approach is a DIY ViDock. Use a desktop HD4670 to give a major turbo boost in performance as can be seen by the performance figures posted in that thread.

Yeah, I knew the bottleneck was the x3100. I've been reading up on the ViDock and it looks pretty cool. I was originally planning on building a new desktop, but I'm leaning more towards keeping the laptop and building a ViDock.

Your processor will then become a bottleneck... best thing is to just spend more cash and buy a new proper laptop and not some crap budget inspiron...

XP-64 is not better than 7-64.

As was said, with that CPU, you have no other path than building a desktop or buying a proper notebook.

I don't agree, as you can see on this thread, nando4 has very good performence even with low CPU power.

The DIY vidock is the best option. Even with a T3200 you will be able to play wow with decent settings.

Also overclocking your FSB would help.
If you need help overclocking, just ask :)

The last way to get wow would be to try 3d analyze.
