I recently bought a Toshiba Laptop.
I go into Dxdiag and it says i have a X700 256MB. Im not sure if its the SE version with the **** 64Bit interface?
How can I find this out?

I just ran 3dMark 05 and got about 2500 with old drivers.

    What do you think?

    What Toshiba laptop is it?

Given that you scored 2500 in 3dmark05, I think you've got the 128-bit version, as most normal x700s score around that. The crippled versions tend to score somewhere in the 1500-1900 range, I think.

I didn't even know there was one. Are we sure the SE applies to being 64bit on the mobility units, not just the desktop cards? Even my 64MB x700 is a 128bit memory bus. DDR1 memory and everything. The code for my GPU is M26-X. Wouldn't that vary for the different memory bus interfaces? Shouldn't there be a variation in that name?

I'd say run Everest and check there.

You will need to install your drivers manualy.

To do this, you need to go into device manager, right click on your x700, then click update driver. You need to manualy find your driver, it'll be in one of the folders that you extracted the drivers to. It should come up with a list of graphics cards and you just need to choose the X700.

If you need any help, let me know, and I'll try and explain it better :)

Everest is a program that gives you info on your computer. Do a google for it. The company doesn't produce or give out the free edition(aka Home Edition) anymore, but it's available on some sites still to download. You'll find out if the memory interace is 128bit or not under the Display/GPU tab.

    It's a 128-bit interface; you wouldn't get 2,500 with a 64-bit.

I am still having problems updating my drivers. Any more help?
Should I uninstall my current drivers?
Also in the information Above it doesnt say my GFX card is 256Mb there. When it does in Dxdiag & 3dmark05.
Final question after reading that info my GFX card is 128Bit correct?

You can also check in the display drivers information tab in CCC I believe, or you can download RivaTuner, it's a great tool for messing with settings on your videocard.

    Cheers,
    Mike
