    How do you play Lost Planet?

    Does anyone use the program Steam to play Lost Planet? I am trying to just open up the game and it seems like I have to go through steam to launch it. But when I do launch it Steam says "Ready to play in approximaitly: 3hrs and 27minutes." This is absurd! Shouldn't I be able to just double click a desktop icon and thats it? Please help.

    You have to download and install the game off of the steam servers to play it, it doesn't instantaneously install itself when you buy it, it downloads and installs the first time you play it.

    So that is why you have to wait, because you're downloading the entire game from them. You only have to do it once and it'll start right away after that.

    I did just install the game. Wow, I never heard about this method before. Well, its good its only the first time. THANKS!

    oh. wait thorn. if you bought it retail you should have just added the cd key into steam and not actually installed it regularly. So if you did you can uninstall the retail one since itll be not used.
