How does the vista games folder work?
For some reason theres an entry called "Hoyle Card Games 2007" which I have no idea what it is...

It however has a guild wars icon (i have guild wars installed)

Is this just a weird Vista screwup? or could i potentially have some sort of adware on my system?

Does anyone else use that computer?

Hoyle Card Games 2007 appears to be legit.

Poorly, from experience :D , I've never bothered with it.

If you won't be using it, you could get rid of it for peace of mind, but I'd just run a spyware scan and see if it picks it up. I know XP used to misassign icons sometimes - could be a similar thing.

Sometimes the games folder screws up getting info about the game from the internet and ends up displaying the wrong picture and details. Nothing to worry about if your game works properly regardless.

    Lemme get this straight

You click on the card game icon and it launches guild wars
    :D :D

Do you have an icon for guild wars in games as well????

Yeah, I'm generally quite happy with Vista, but all sorts of weirdness seems to happen in the Games folder, and it's completely unclear to me why that is.

My example: the "view" settings never stick. So I'll set it to view the files, say, as a List, and then I'll go back to the Games folder later and they'll be Large Icons. Any rhyme or reason as to why this happens???

I just create my own games folder. I do the same thing in XP. C:\Games
