I have seen test done with newer games on the Vostro using the dx9 method, but what are some results using the dx10 rendering method? With the 8600m gt, will one be able to use the dx10 option and actually be able to play?

With new games like bioshock, WiC, and crysis that are coded well, yes it should be able to play fine, maybe even better than DX9 (since it supposed to)

Lost planet is coded horribly so it will most likely fail playing well.
