    Hey!

I just wanted to know how the new 9500M GS is for gaming or what is its overall performance compared to other GPU's like the "old" 8600M GT for example...
Note This is the graphic card in the new Asus G1Sn with Penryn..

    Thx

It "should" be on par with a 8600M GT, or maybe it's just a 8600M GS with DX10.1 support. Since nowadays ATI ain't giving Nvidia any run in mid range GPU, there ain't much reasons for Nvidia to get such powerful GPU out. If ATI did, they might launch a 9600M.

No one knows for sure yet.

But don't get your hopes up. It could just be a relabeled 8400 like with what ATI pulled with their "x2300" and "x2600." (Not to be confused with the HD series which are the real DX10 graphics cards).

One thing is for shure though, it does not support DX10.1, none of the 9 series will support DX10.1.

This has already been made clear by Nvidia.
