a buddy of mine runs his 8750 on a 1000/1000

    I think stock is 825/900

It is a pretty weak card though, my overclocked 5850m(900/1090) is like 30% faster than his overclocked 8750 and mine is 3 years old.

The 650mGTX, 660mGTX or 8870m would be a much much better choice

Thx for ur answer, so it overclocks pretty decently. I know it's not the most powerful gpu out there but it can still reach near P2000 at stock and its power consumption is crazy low. Making it an ideal efficient gpu for ultrabooks and 768p gaming.
What is the laptop model of your friend if i may ask ? Thx.

Its a Samsung with the Intel Core i5-3337U Processor. He scores about P2250 on 3dmark 11 with his overclock. Dont know what exact model he got.

P2250 is not bad at all, especially paired with an ulv core. It's the score of the 650M gt at stock clocks.
Again, thx for your input, It's hard to find data on these gpus since only Samsung and Dell put them in use.

This must be your friend's lap.

    Review Samsung Series 5 530U4E-S02DE Ultrabook - NotebookCheck.net Reviews

only 27,6W under 3dmark06 and 33,8 W at full stress (prime+furmark). This is crazyness ;)

They did test with crappy drivers and with a ulv core running at only 1,8 ghz. Perfs should be better now especially with a standard voltage cpu like on the 15,6" Samsung models.

P2250 is excellent from ultrabook. Whenever I'll find a discount for that machine, I'll take it! I guess the Haswell+Nvidia version will decrease its price greatly...

my acer laptop v5-552g has the radeon 8750m and also the built in 8650g built into the a10-5757 cpu. it has dual graphics in crossfire and has a graphics score of 29xx in 3dmark11 basic edition. this is higher than the gt640m! theres no data for 650m so i cant compare that but the highest for 750m i see is a graphics score of 3335, so its not bad id say.
