i actually can't remember.. i think i started rite as it transitioned from .5 to .6 becuz i remember quick scoping and ppl complaining its gone and stuff

 

Oh snap... M4 w/scope was AWESOME

...however, I must say that the TMP was pretty freakin' awesome. Back then it wasn't so weak, AND it was deadly accurate from long range AND the spray pattern was ridiculously tight....ohhh the days =)

...oh yeah, and the AWP wasn't they GHEYEST n00b cannon ever invented. That's my biggest beef, that you can fly around a corner land and .1ms later scope in shoot someone's face off, and already be unscoped and rescoped back on someone's face.???????????

 

Started playing CS:S in 2004, that was about it really. I did play ALOT up until all of these server scripts and mods started ruining the game. You load up CS:S to play CS:S.. and your choices are either zombies, gun game, random stupid maps, terrible aim maps, or 24/7 dust2 & office. The game is really boring now. I have played cs 1.6 for a few hours but couldnt stand the jittery animations, cursor movement and pretty much everything else. Mabe my pc is too good for the game..

Yeah, lol. I started in 1.3.

 

I started playing it when I was in grade 5 so I think it was 1.6-ish? (9 years ago).

 

Yesh...but uhhh, I started realized that the poll was going to be gargantuan if I added EVERY version =)

 

heh, I've been playing CS:S for the past 3-4 years on and off. I'd leave and stop playing for a few months, and then come back. It's like I can't ever stop playing it.

 

I started in the CS that they called 7.0 in my hometown that has a terrorist (not the counter terrorist guys like 1.1) on the start screen.

 

I started playing it before you hows that.

when i started isn't even listed on your poll... it pre-dates the official beta 1.

i stopped playing at cs 1.6.

similarly for day of defeat i was playing before they even had a good website, back when it was a 2 frame all text website basically played that up till source, now just play it occasionally maybe 2-3 times a year for old times sake.

 

Nice moves...yeah, before beta 3, I didn't have a computer connected to the internet, nor did I have any friends with computers connected to the internet that could run CS.

I'm with the other guy, I just can't seem to get away from it, loves it too much I guess.

 

i started about 2-3 years ago with CS:Source and i still play it basically everyday

I have a clan..we have matches also.

 

started from 1.5, now i play 1.6 for a half of a year (**** i am already called a cheater), and i hate cs:s, its so different...

 

I didn't like CS:S at first either. But it's much less buggy, and it looks so much better...although I wish the HE grens had more splash damage...oh, and I wish you could get a HS with the knife like you used to be able to.

 

Summer 2007. I bought it with an Xbox 360 PC controller and external 250 GB SimpleTech hard drive from Best Buy. Returned the controller =) Couldn't actually play CS until last month since my old laptop sucked.

 

Oh gag..CS was meant for PC anyhow

 

I can't imagine playing CS:S let alone the Orange Box on a controller...TF2, no way.

 

I played CS from 1999/2000-2005 almost daily for hours on end. I didn't get HL till a year after release, but once I found CS I was hooked.

I mainly play CS:S now if any but revisit 1.6 here and there.

Why'd you leave out 1.1-1.4?

I started playing summer 2002, so that was around 1.4 or 1.5. Ah the days before steam.
