Right now am playing Metro 2033 and The witcher and i keep mixing the sotries together LOL so i think personally il strick to one game at a time. The only thing that bothers me though is that i got around 35 games on Steam that i didnt even install yet :S

Like you, depends on if same genre or not. I can, for instance, play Starcraft 2 and Bioshock 2 at the same time safely. But I won't play similar games at the same time because I do confuse story lines...

I find most games require the use of both of my hands and often my full attention, so I usually only play one at a time. I think running more than one at a time would lead to performance problems, and you would have to run in windowed mode and lower the graphics settings quite a bit.

Like a dozen lmao
I have my PS2 emulator where I've been going between (every few hours I Switch honestly):
Onimusha 3 and 4
Shadow of the Colossus
Kingdom Hearts 2
Then I have my wii/ gamecube games:
Pikmin 1/2
Super Smash Bros melee
Metroid Prime
Metroid Other <
Just beat luigi's mansion
PC Games:
Borderlands
Dragon Age
Starcraft II (Just beat this a day or two ago)
Resident Evil 5
Bioshock
I obviously don't play them all in the same day but I play a bit of each once a week or so =p I get bored.
edit: Or at a time? I play one PC game at a time, usually if I'm playing PS2 or Wii I'm talking to people/ on a forum but I'll play a flash game. -
For now I just play Starcraft 2 and Nation Red. Waiting for Black Ops to be released

I generally only have one game running at a time, you can get some odd glitches, especially graphically, otherwise. Alt-Tabbing can get funky, too. Not that I haven't been known to have, say, a strategy game running and then switch to Halo when some friends come online while leaving the strategy game running in the background, and then occasionally play some Trackmania while I wait for my friends to fix their network problems (if the network problems aren't on my end, like usual). But most of the time, I just leave it to one game running at a time.
In terms of actual having in-progress games in multiple games (not actually running them at the same time), I generally have lots of in-progress games, but I don't play that many storyline games, either. It's not unusual for me to have many games of Civilization in progress at once, and sometimes another strategy game in progress, too (Total War or the like), and rarely a game such as Half-Life: Blue Shift in progress (though I don't think I've ever had two storyline FPS/RPG/etc. games going at once). Never had an issue with confusing storylines, although that may change if I did have more than one FPS/RPG/etc. game in progress at a time. Most of the time I do play FPS, though, it's just shooting some people up, not actually part of the campaign. If I do abandon a game-in-progress for too long, though, I'll occasionally forget my plans when I come back to it. Lost a good part of my submarine fleet in a WWII Global Civ3 game once by abandoning it for several weeks, coming back, and forgetting about my subs. -
If I play one game and leave it for another I usually never get back around to the first game for years, and of course at that point one can't possibly remember what the hell was going on in the game at that time, so I just have to start that game over. I have one Playstation game I'm determined to finish, but things keep pulling me away and I find it again every few years, but I have to start over since I have no idea what is going on in the game when I get back to it. I'm going to finish it one of these &$#%ing years!!

Most games I played at one time was two.. I was playing Grand Theft Auto IV and on Flash Flash Revolution at the same time.
-
I don't think the OP means playing two or more games exactly at the same time, but rather starting to play a new game before you have finished your other games.
I used to play tons of games at once in my younger days when I actually had the time. I never mixed their storylines or anything like that. But now I find that I can only play one game at a time because of time constraints. -

Yeah, that's what I thought he meant at first too o_o. So in terms of that, I was playing Grand Theft Auto IV, Gears of War 2 and Modern Warfare 2 (their story, that is) at just about the same time. It was not so confusing since these games are extremely different. But switching from Gears of War 2 controls to Modern Warfare 2 controls is a bit of a shock each time

By "the same time", do we mean side by side or do we literally "in parallel at the same time". The only 2 games I've ever played at the same time according to the latter were Warcraft 3 and Guild Wars, my older Athlon desktop could handle both of them in different windows lol
-
I have a tons of games on my steam list. I play games depending what I feel like. Any given day I could be playing just one game to other days where I play 4 different games. Like recently I been playing Plants vs Zombies, to Team Fortress 2, Bad Company 2, Grid, to Star Wars Force Unleash 2.

I play 1, burnout paradise lol, looking for a new gaming laptop so i can play at higher settings.
-
I usually play 2 games at the same time (combinations: a FPS & a RTS, or a FPS & a racing game, or just 1 game if it is a good RPG such as Mass Effect 2 or Dragon Age: Origins
)
I can't keep myself focused if I play more than 2 games at the same time. -

I play whatever I feel like playing at the time. Lately it's either been Bad Company 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Need for Speed Shift or GTA IV.
-
If you mean 2 games simultaneously, I've never done that - hard to keep focus on 2 things going on at the same time. But I've tried watching TV and playing a DS or a PSP game at the same time though. :-D
Sometimes, I play games exclusively until I've beaten the story mode/campaign mode, but more often than not, I prefer switching around different games - helps keep thing fresh.
Anyways, games I'm currently playing right now (switching in-between them) are Vanquish, Castlevania and Star Ocean (all for the PS3), Etrian Odyssey 3 (DS), Starcraft 2 and Civ 5 (PC).
How many games do you play at the same time?
