Do you wait until finishing one to unsintall and install another, or have many games started and alternate them?

    Far Cry 2
    Crysis
    CoD 4
    Burnout Paradise
    Dead Space
    Race Driver GRiD
    World Of Goo
    Doom 3
    Quake 4
    NFS MW
    NFS Undercover

These aren't that many, I have un-installed quite a few as I have to study for my finals in may, so the fewer the distractions the better :D :D

Once I finish a game I only keep it installed if I still play it both on or offline, otherwise its replaced ;)

I have probably close to 40-50 games on this laptop. The thing is that most of my games are in the 1998-2001 date range. They just don't make games like they used to. It just seems like all the game producers are doing is just pumping out a sequell to a great series that isn't even worth the disk it's shipped in.

    COD4
    BF2142
    Infernal
    Alone in the Dark
    WoW
    GuildWars
    Requiem: Bloodymare
    HL2
    CS:S
    Portal
    L4D
    Crysis
    Crysis: Warhead
    Supreme Commander
    Starcraft w/ Brood War
Wing Commander: Privateer Remake using the Vega Strike engine
    Space Force: Rogue Universe
    Homeworld 2
Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends
ZSNES Super Nintendo Emulator (my SNES broke when I moved) with:
    - Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
    - Super Metriod (best console game EVER IMHO)
    - Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo
    - MegaMan X, X2, and X3
    - Chrono Trigger
    - Final Fantasy 3 and 4
    - Desert Strike
    - Mortal Kombat 1, 2, 3 and Ultimate MK3

What can I say... I have the attention span of a squirel that got into a coke dealer's stash. If I play the same game two days in a row, I must REALLY want to get something done in it.

If you count each game loaded in the emulator as a single game, that comes to 33 games...

There are some jpg snapshots of my icon list about half-way down...

Around 152 games on the laptop's 320 GB internal drive...(not counting MS Hearts, Minesweeper, Lemonade Tycoon, etc)...

Around 139 games on the 500 GB USB drive of which around 43 games are Steam games...and the USB drive goes everywhere the laptop does...

So I would call it about 290 full-size games that run off the HDDs without using the CDs/DVDs...I'm a full blown pack-rat...but you never know when you'll have an itchin' to go back and play the original System Shock...

And then the internal drive has the Microsoft Office suite ($20 under the Home User Program since my work licenses a copy for me to use at home and work), some Adobe and Nero software, and around 14 GBs of mp3's...with 22 GB remaining for video editing/burning...

It's incredible considering my first DESKtop had a 540 MB drive...

I also have about 50 games installed including many installed within a virtual environment. Most of my games are older (90's-2001) though with only a few being this year. I spend more time playing Tiberian Sun Total War and GTA SA than the more recent games.

I don't really feel like counting them all, but I'm sure it's double digits. I never really uninstall any games (except demos of games), so that contributes a lot. I figure I may want to play them again, so why uninstall them? That's especially true for multi-disc games, as being a college student it's easier just to have the one disc I need to play the game and leave the others at home. I also tend to prefer games with lots of replay value (strategy especially, but also a few FPS and racing), so it's not like I'm finished with a game forever after playing it once. Things like Civilization, Total War, Age of Empires - you don't just play one game of those. I still regularly play Civilization III that I got more than 5 years ago.

And I don't even have all my games installed. Some of the older ones I don't play often anymore I haven't installed since I installed XP in December. But it's sure nice not to be limited to a 14 GB hard drive anymore!

    Oh, my goodness...

Can I have that for a sig? :) I think that's my new favorite phrase on forums...

Anyway, I tend to build up games, mostly because I forget to uninstall ones I'm no longer playing (or because "I'm sure I'll get back into that one day!")

The desktop has probably 30 games or so, but all are older games, as it hasn't been my primary computer for a while. The laptop has 3 or 4, but that's mostly because I never did get everything on it before it died.

When the newly ordered M17 arrives, I guessed I'd probably have 6-10 or so, once all the dust settles. I may go a different route this time and actually only keep games on there that I'm actively playing - maybe make a folder for old saved games/high score lists or related info, then uninstall the old games. That way, if I ever wanted to reinstall, i could save some info..

I install a game and if I like it even a little Ill keep it on my PC so that I can play it whenever. Nothing is worse then having a small timeframe to kill and not having the game you have an urge to play.
