Hi, can you help me in finding the power drained by these two nVidia graphics cards?
I am talking about the mobile versions to be found on the Dell Vostro 1500 laptop. They are advertised as
    nVidia 8600M GT , 256 MB DDR2
    nVidia 8400 GS, 128 MB DDR2

I'd like to know how much power they need while in sleep mode, during normal desktop operation (reading, writing plain text documents, surfing the web without animations or flash), and at full power.
Obviously this is because I am interested in battery life.

On nvidia's website I can find only 'graphics' specs, but power is not mentioned anywhere.

I am confident someone in here knows that :)

Thanks to the gurus for their answers.
