Hi all, I'm new here in this forum...
Anyways, to make a long story short, I want a modded bios for my C640D
BIOS is Insyde v1.9(Checked Toshiba's website already, latest version)
Specs for those who don't know:
Core i3 380M (2.53 Ghz, 667 max graphics core clock, according to GPU-Z,0.5.3)
    2GB DDR3(Will up to 4GB, soon)
320 GB Toshiba HDD, 5400 RPM
    Conexant SA HD
    Atheros AR9285 b/g/n
    Temp's never exceed 78 Degrees Celsius(with a cheap $4.99 underflow cooler :D)
    I get in Dirt 3 a steady 17 fps on ultra low+1280x720
    around 25fps on 640x480
So is there anyone to out there who knows at least how to change the core clock of the graphics core!?
EDIT: also are there any known tweaks or "hacks" for this issue!?
Don't be afraid to share, thnx

    Another Bump...
Should I add 2GB of RAM, or should I try to sell it and get a better one?

    Oh, goody; A reply :)
So how do u do this pinmod exactly. Plus I'm a bit familiar with setfsb, but what does it have to do with the graphics core clock, isn't that for clocking ur cpu only!?
Sounds like a dang serious thing to me, I'll try it though..
But nah, eGPU isn't the solution for me, cuz I already have a mini gaming pc and I want something that can/will stay mobile within the laptop itself.
BTW, can't I just buy a laptop grafix card and botch it up the mPCIe slot?
or will it cause problems with the battery and chipset, also will there be space and do I have to buy a heatsink!?

Look into the forum for a eGPU solution! Overclocking intels i3/i5/( some i7) is only possible through rising the FSB. The Multiplikator is locked and the Voltage (you may try forcing) too. A BIOS mod will you allow to change the FSB but nothing more.
However, do not touch the BIOS at all. You dont think how complicated it is. I modded mine after doing 2 Months (!!!) Reasearch, Hexediting, Comparing, Talking with modders and so on. The result was that i have got after modding the same ( exactly the same) BIOS.fd file ( i hate InsydeH20) as already published in another forum. I flashed mine and unlocked all neccessary options for me :).

    Try as already metioned SetFSB

Wich SN does your NB have? ( I will look @ the BIOS). If its a 1MB .fd i´ll mod it if its a 1.5MB .fd file not ( its very complicated to do a checksum mod).

Well, I searched a bit in the forums and found how to know ur PLL no. in notebooks; so far I couldn't find anything, plus I tried the Method which requires the use of Sandra, but of no use so far :(
It states that the under clock generator:
    >Software programmable (Yes)
    >Read-back Support (No)
How in in the world I'm going to find the PLL no!?
Should I pop my notebook's back open and search for it on the mobo itself?
Also I find it interesting that the CPU changes the graphics core clock based on it's clock itself; I probably knew and probably didn't, ah well...
My NB is 1.5 MB, so yeah, I'll guess I'll just use Set FSB to prevent any more complications

Trying set FSB as we talk, wow this is hard work :D
I'm not free this weekend, sadly :(
If u want to leave me anything that should/could work for me just leave it in this thread and I'll (HOPEFULLY) read it...
    Thanx a lot :)

Also, 667 is the IGP Turbo frequency. The base frequency for your i3 380M is 500MHz.

    PLL's tested:

    CY28349BOC- works(identifies clock only-no set)
RTM520-39D(program not responds, then responds again)
    RTM580-255R(PLL Byte error)
RTM862-520(Most stable PLL so far, but no set fsb, clocks not read correctly too)
RTM876-660(Reads clock correctly, not sure all clocks are correct; Just CPU, still no Set FSB)
    Hmmm, this is awkward...

    Anything, guys!?
What shld I do, should I add 2GB of ram or sell it and get a better laptop!?
There is one for sale that has a 4750M and a dual core i5-any good!?

Edit: I also need a way to install a non-OEM grafix driver, cuz when I try to install the newest one from the Intel DC it states that u cant install a driver other than that of the manufacturer's, which is in my case, Toshiba..:S

Manually install them from the device manager, you may need to unpack the exe to get the actual drivers though.

What files am I suppose to get to install them manually?
There is a folder called x64 with 2 light-sized files inside of it, are those it?
