So if I have a DVD with the game, how do I find out if it has a 64-bit version on the disk?
Apparently Crysis (not the early demo) gets about 30% increase in 64.

Its all the same Disk. The disk just has two (or more) seperate EXE's, one 32 bit and one 64 bit, that you can choose from when you launch the game (I.E. From Vista right click the game and it lets you choose (IIRC, that is.)).

Like Patrick said, the bulk of the game are just data files.

64 Applications (games or otherwise) will typically have 2 separate folders for 32 bit (x86) and 64 bit. However, there is a difference between a game or application that is 64 bit Certified and one that is a 64 bit Application. A 64 bit Certified application can be run on either 32 or 64 bit systems; a 64 bit application can only be run on a 64 bit designed system.
One of the more recent examples of this, though not in gaming, is Adobe's Photoshop and Lightroom programs. All of Adobe's programs are certified to run on 64 bit platforms; they'll run on either type. But Photoshop & Lightroom also have their own completely separate 64 bit versions that can only be run on a 64 bit designed platform. The difference in the application is that it typically requires more RAM per process to run, requiring the added capability of a 64 bit platform.
You can find a list of some current 64 bit games and more information on the 64 bit gaming subject here at Start64.com
