    How to increase proccessor speed for game?

    When I go to play my game it says I am capable of way more proccessor speed then I am using. DOes any1 know to increase this speed? I have a intel dual core T5550 proccessor on vista

    Likely what you're seeing is the SpeedStep feature Intel uses to decrease power consumption. What happens is the CPU turns down it's speed when it doesn't need full power and steps it up when it does. To disable this feature (not usually a good thing), you need to go into the BIOS, usually F2 or delete when booting and disable it.

    Make sure you have your power setting set to "Maximum Performance". See if that makes a difference.

    Yeah, I wouldn't suggest changing anything in your BIOS unless you really NEED to...
