    Hi,

I downloaded and wanna try new 258.49 win7 64bit drivers for my win 764 bit with 9600m gt for my lappy acer 6930g.

I tried installing drivers as its seem to be desktop drivers, so failed to detect hardware, i tried some modified NV_disp.inf but no luck.

Is any one installed these drivers for his 9600m gt, please link me correct modified Nv_Disp.inf.

With this inf, I have some problems with the brightness. The control is working fine but I hear a high pitch noise when the brightness is not set to the maximum.

well, there are always chances of some things giong wrong when you use modded inf. After all, these drivers werent exactly built for your card (at least officially).

However, this is usually not the case. The recent nvidia releases. 257.15, 21, 19, 258.49 etc. have all been buggy, with varying degrees of usability.

Why do you even bother to install a desktop Quadro driver in your laptop?
