Any gtx 860m or lenovo y50 users, how do you increase fps in bf4? Currently in the nvidia control panel under 'manage 3d settings', I'm using the default 'auto select' for preferred graphics processor with the default settings. Under 'adjust image settings with preview', I'm using the 3rd radio button for balanced slider. I don't know anything GPU related. All I play is battlefield 4, mostly on ultra settings and I'm getting 25-35 fps on the 347.88 WHQL driver. Can you post your nvidia control panel settings? I want to maximize the performance out of the 860m WITHOUT overclocking and keeping the temperatures low as possible without overheating or risk damaging the gpu, thank you.

    1. Redo thermal paste
    2. turn off ultra
    3. turn off AA
    4. Done

860m really can't handle 1080p Ultra BF4 reasonably at stock speeds. If you really want minimum 30fps, you will need to OC. 860m runs cool, so if it's getting too hot, you need to repaste with decent paste and clean your fans and vents of dust.

IMHO running Ultra for BF4 only puts you at a disadvantage in multiplayer. You want more FPS and get rid off all that glare and blur crap.

As they've pointed out above, the only thing you can do is turn down the in-game graphical settings if you're willing to make that sacrifice and keep your system drivers updated. Also, ensure that there aren't too many unnecessary background programs eating up CPU resources in the background. That's all you can do.

In the control pannel, select power managemnet mode to max performance... Also if you have a 4710HQ, OC it a bit using XTU ;)... BF4 loves more CPU power.. OC GPU too..
