I think that we should use Rivatuner right?? But what I do not get is how to measure the temp "while" playing a specific game? read some tutorials but could not figure it out? Any simple guide?

I use HWMonitor. It's got a max value for all the temps it can read, that way I can check when I've finished gaming what my max temp was. I don't like Rivatuner as I think it is more complicated than it needs to be.

If you open up RivaTuner and go to the Hardware Monitoring, right click on the core temperature graph and click setup. At the bottom, there's a section called On-Screen display settings. Check the Show core temperature... box and then click run server. This will show you the GPU temperature in the upper left corner while playing a game. Note that if you're playing a Steam game and doing this, the Steam overlay does not work.

zipx2k5, do you need to click run server every time you want it to show the OSD temps. (after rebooting that is).

Yes, but you can also right click on the server icon on the task bar and if you go to setup, there's an option to start with windows. If you start the server with windows, you also need to make sure rivatuner starts with windows as well because it won't display the temperatures unless rivatuner is also running.

The overlay is the thing in game where you can press shift+tab and your friends list will come up so you can chat with them and/or join the server that they are playing on. If you start any Steam game while the rivatuner server is running, the steam overlay won't work. You can play the game fine, the overlay just won't appear when you shift+tab.

There is a way to get both working at the same time, but it's very annoying. Basically you have to exit rivatuner and the server, start the game on Steam, then before you join a server, alt+tab out of it then start rivatuner and the server, then maximize the game. They'll both work, but it's annoying to have to do everytime before you play.
