Not sure really where to post this but will ask here.

I want to know if my Dual Link DVI output coming out of my Clevo will run my monitor at 120hz 1080p which only has a displayport if I use a Dual Link DVI male to Displayport Female adaptor. I cannot seem to find out if that will be passive or active because it is dual link as the active cable is costly.

This is the cable I am looking at but before I waste my money could someone confirm if this will work?

I am currently using a HDMI 1.4 cable and understand this will only output 60hz 1080p. My other option is to sell my laptop and buy a desktop. Lets try not to go down that route just to get 120hz working :D
